Today marked 50 years from the day Gibraltar’s 1969 Constitution was commenced on 30 May 1969. The Constitution had come about following a Constitutional Conference in 1968 between the United Kingdom Government, Gibraltar’s Elected Members and the Integration with Britain Party.
The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia will open an exhibition on Monday which marks fifty years since the closure of the land frontier by General Franco’s Spain.

A multi-disciplinary group, led by the Minister with responsibility for persons with disabilities, the Honourable Neil F. Costa MP, and the Care Agency, has completed a review of services available for persons with learning disabilities.
The Government has announced it will re-open the Nuffield Pool for residents and will start work to open up a new promenade linking Camp Bay and Little Bay along the seafront by the Nuffield Pool. The plans include landscaping and placing of seating areas along the way.
