Gibraltar Cultural Services (GCS), on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, is pleased to announce its Spring Cultural Programme, which covers the period up until Saturday 20th June 2026.

Following successful events in April including ‘An Audience With’ Sir Mo Farah; and a charity run with Sir Mo, GCS confirms the following events: 

•  Workers Memorial Day on Wednesday 29th April 2026 at the Alameda Gardens. 

•  A visit from the Young Shakespeare Company with daily performances of ‘Macbeth’ at the John Mackintosh Hall Theatre for local schools from Monday 11th to Friday 15th May

•  Spring Visual Arts Exhibition at Gustavo Bacarisas Gallery, Casemates from Friday 15th May to Friday 29th May. 

•  Spring Saturday at Casemates Square and Main Street, including GFA Playmakers on Saturday 30th May. 

•  Spring Book Crossing outside the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Crowned on Saturday 30th May

•  The Celebration of Opera at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity on Tuesday 9th June 

•  Spring Short Story Competition with the prize-giving presentation at BookGEM on Wednesday 17th June

•  Calentita Food Festival at Landport Ditch on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th June 

Events organised by other Organisations include:

•  The Gibraltar Heritage Trust 36th Annual Painting Competition on Saturday 9th May

•  The Gibraltar National Museum Open Day on Saturday 16th May
